... Summertime and the slushies are freezy We teased you in September 2019, featuring "Hell Froze Over", our Kiwi Strawberry collaboration with Wiley Roots (our slushie mentors) in a rented machine for our 3rd anniversary party. But then, we got serious — in the most fun way possible — with Colorado Springs' first beer slushie program. On April 9, 2020, a month into the pandemic's onsite restaurant closures, we installed our slushie machine, launched the "L'il White Lies" beer slushie series for Frozen Fridays and never looked back. While you couldn't enjoy them with us right away, you guys fell in love fast, with some regulars ordering 8-16 to go each Friday. We admit, we made some odd flavor choices (Caramel Macchiato Latte Kettle Sour, Moon Pie Dark Soul Stout) but let's focus on the amazing frozen concoctions from our popular sour ales: Strawberus Shortcake, Drop Me a Lime Key Lime Pie, Devil in a Red Dress Cherry Cheesecake and Boysen Back In Town Boysenberry Pie. Get ready for your first brain-freeze of the year because we've got the machine spinning again and ready for a season full of Frozen Fridays. The fun kicks off with Mango Thug Passion, our mango passionfruit sour ale in slushie form. We no longer use lactose in our sours, so this is a vegan drink and we'll be rotating in hard seltzer slushies throughout the summer so our gluten free guests can enjoy them. We serve these inside, on the patio and in the dog-friendly beer garden OR you can order them to go, so watch our Facebook and Instagram pages on Friday mornings for each weekend's featured flavor and ... Get Slushed while quantities last. Not in our neck of the woods? Our friends at Fossil Craft Beer Co., Brass Brewing and Lost Friend Brewing also have weekly slushies, so spend your weekend discovering all the ways our local craft beer scene is pushing the definition of "beer" (to every brewer's chagrin). Cheers! — Carrie
